Today I am starting with the final conclusion: I made a bralette and I love it! I even used a free pattern for it, so you can all make it as well!
So Sew Easy Summer Bralette, which is freeeeeee!
L, and I made the band 4 cm’s smaller in the back.
Stretch lace from an unknown source, but my best guess would be that I ordered it from AliExpress a long time ago. The bra bands are from Kantje Boord, and the metal sliders and rings are also from AliExpress. I can source them back if you want to, please let me know 🙂
If you want to see a picture of me wearing the bralette, I have been hiding it here.
The insides are also quite pretty: I overlocked the cups seams and since I used all the scalloped edges of the lace there is not much left to hem.
Will I make this brallete again?
YES! It’s a lovely simple pattern to make. Next time I will probably line the cups for a little bit more support. But for a summer style bralette this will be a favourite for sure. For some reason it also feels a bit more sexy to wear compared to the Watson bra I made earlier. I know this is probably due to the different materials I used, but there’s also a difference in how the cups fit me.
